The hottest place on Earth

After crossing several mountain ranges, people descended into depression, which was surrounded by high mountains. They seem to have entered into a huge oven. The heat was unbearable. Completely dehydrated air burned the lungs. Ahead stretched a sparkling, snow-white layers of salt, yellow sand dunes and a purple rock. Gold miners have been many miles, but no one source is not caught in their path. After a long search they came upon a dried-up river bed. It was dripping water when it rained in the mountains. People managed to find several small lakes and puddles. But the water in them was so salty that it was impossible to drink. Even to wash with this water was dangerous. Salt corroded skin of the hands and face. Nearly all the miners found their death in these places. Those few who managed to survive, called this basin Death Valley. Death Valley - one of the hottest places on our planet. In mid-July air temperature here rises to the level of 56 degrees Celsius. Winter in the Valley of Death sometimes cold. This is an amazing place. Immediately behind the mountain ranges is one of the most rainy places in North America - Pacific coast of the continent. Death Valley - one of the deepest depressions in America: it lies at 85 meters below sea level. But in this harsh climate there is life. For a few streams and lakes come to the watering animals: coyotes, wild cats, badgers, Mexican.
