Flowering herbs

However, some herbs are blooming before the mass awakening of vegetation. On the sandy slopes, ditches, banks of gullies and rivers sometimes in early April among sunspots have not yet melted snow crawl golden head coltsfoot. In 1912, near Moscow, her flowers even appear on March 17. It is easy to find that its flowering shoots originate from creeping rhizomes in the soil. Inflorescences coltsfoot are somewhat similar to an ordinary dandelion yellow basket, but they are smaller and, moreover, they are easily distinguished by the stem. Basket dandelion sits on a bare, leafless flower stalk. If you tear it up, it implies a bright white and very bitter juice - "Milk." In coltsfoot stalks on which sit the inflorescence, covered with small brownish scales. This immature leaves, and they do not look like those large polygonal, fluffy bottom leaves, which appear much later. On edges of coniferous and mixed forests, thickets bloom blue. It's hard not to notice them very beautiful, blue flowers, and a relatively large three-lobed leaves are not allowed to mix these plants with any other. The first flowers of woodland can be found at times very early in the thawed when the next even snow. In the shady and marshy places, on moist banks of streams and forest ditches bloom early in the second half of the month the original flowers selezenochnika. The upper leaves had a yellow color. They lure insects to the ordinary-looking, flat yellow flowers that are located above the upper leaves yellow, visible from a distance among the bright green grass.
