These changes in the production of estrogen can lead to infertility or delayed conception due to the cessation of menstruation, or lack of ovulation (release of eggs from the ovary). Number and location of fat accumulation in the body can also affect the production of other reproductive hormones in ways which reduce fertility. Several studies have shown that after fat deposits are back to normal levels of reproductive hormones are corrected and the problem of infertility is eliminated.
