Synclinal and anticlinal fold

Even more complex are more common violations of the correctness of bedding. First of all, here are the folds and twists that dominate the structure of all the major mountains, the term does not require further interpretation: it clarifies the meaning of profiles and perspective drawings. Part of the inclined layers, connected by a bend in the fold, called the thighs, or wings folded. Tuck, in which both thighs downward variance and the peak inflection points upward, is called a saddle, or anticlinal fold: on the contrary, if the thigh folds down converge and bend its top facing down, then we fold synclinal or trough. Just cannot layers differ from folds that their hips do not connect directly bend and meet at an angle.
