Fragments of rocks

These products rarely come across a new cone of Vesuvius, and in recent eruptions and the nonexistent, on the contrary, the ancient Vesuvius - Somme during their prehistoric eruptions, throwing out a huge number of such bombs. The latter consist in part of modern marine sediments from Bivalve and gastropod shells, partly because of the gray limestone Cretaceous. In the Apennines and the mountains of Sorrento similar form thick layers of limestone, probably they occur also in the depth beneath Vesuvius. Ejected by volcanoes limestones have undergone significant changes, some fragments of them have turned into crystalline marble, some of them, due to the chemical action of lava on calcium carbonate, formed a number of curious and well-crystallized minerals. Most likely to be calcite, augite, mica, olivine, less vesuvianite, garnet, forsterite, humites, sarkolit, Mayon, Melita, leucite, nepheline, sodalite, hauynite, wollastonite, and many others. Vesuvius is one of the famous deposits of various minerals.
